We’re pleased to announce that we will soon be releasing our new academic year of classes at ASCC.

With our first classes starting in September, the new academic year is only a few weeks away. If you are planning to attend, we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your place.

A solar eclipse (Kusūf) is one of the signs of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that when an eclipse occurs, we should turn to Allah through Ṣalāh, duʿā, dhikr and seeking forgiveness.

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The sun and the moon are two signs from the signs of Allah… When you see an eclipse, pray and supplicate until it is over.”
Bukhārī & Muslim

What should we do?
During the eclipse, we are encouraged to:

• Perform Ṣalāt al-Kusūf
• Make duʿā and dhikr
• Engage in istighfār
• Give ṣadaqah (charity)
• Reflect upon the greatness and power of Allah

On Sunday, 24th May, we distributed Eid packs to our users, donated by generous members of our local community who have supported us over many years. Packs were really happily received.
We had generous contributions to this gift pack from Aytac Foods and Lindt. We would like to extend our special thanks to Ashford and Staines Community Centre and the Sunday school children for helping to assemble the packs. Our pictures are with the teachers. The children were fantastic and had lots of questions about the food bank and how they could help in the future. Thank you to all those who contributed on behalf of our users. What a wonderful community we live in!
